Crooked Boardwalks

The Oslo Riverfront Preserve is nice because it’s only a short drive from almost anywhere in Vero;  It’s a great place to escape for an evening. But what makes it even better is that it has a 30-foot observation deck at the end of the trail.
There are a number of homeless people who live near the entrance, so I don’t recommend hiking alone, but once you’re past them, it’s beautiful.
This is a 9 frame, HDR panorama.  In fact, it was my first.
I didn’t mean for it to work out that the graffiti was right there, but since it did, I think it helps to capture the essence of the place, and, I think, it’s become my favorite part of the picture.

Shot with the Canon EOS Rebel Xti.

An Evening at the Inlet

Most evenings are beautiful at the Fort Pierce Inlet.  Tonight was no exception.

This is another HDR panorama;  8, 2 frame HDRs stitched together.
Blending the HDRs was done in photoshop, with an initial edit in Adobe Camera Raw, saved to Lightroom, Exported as single layer JPEGs, imported to Lightroom, and then sent back to photoshop to be stitched together, with final editing and distortion correction in Lightroom.

Enjoy!

I took this in Fort Drum this morning while exploring some trails.
It took almost 20 minutes to get this little guy to trust me enough to crawl onto my finger, then 5 more to get him to stay there.

ISO-400, 1/320 shutter, f/5.

Canon EOS rebel XTI, with 18/55mm lens at 44mm, and a prayer for patience.

Good Morning.

Indubitably, it’s important that the first word of any worthwhile publication should be a good one.  Or, at least it’s important to me…

This is a place for me to share photos I’ve taken, as well as keep ya’ll updated once I start school.

In August, I’m starting school at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio where I’ll be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.  If you’d like to hear about what I’m doing, please consider subscribing to e-mail notifications at the bottom of the page.  I promise I’ll try to keep it entertaining.

For the sake of including a picture, here’s one I took recently in Fort Drum, here in Florida, while backpacking.
